uhlife has been quiet for a minute but he hasn’t been slacking off. Ever since we heard “Pruse” it became clear that uhlife was leagues ahead of other psychedelic minded rappers. While “uuum” doesn’t have the same immediacy as “Pruse” it finds uhlife channeling a darker vibe not unlike Spaceghostpurrp. Instead of maintaining a southern flow like Purrp, uhlife’s flow is looser, less predictable and unhinged. The freewheeling nature of the verse works perfectly over vhvl’s highly atmospheric and barely-there beat. The undeniable swagger we heard on “Pruse” is still there just contained, smoother and has uhlife acting too cool to play all his cards at once.
