Cass McCombs is an act that I have been slow to listen to but I am definitely hooked after listening to the leaks from his upcoming album WIT’S END.  ‘The Lonely Doll’ is a slow burning and gorgeous track that succeeds in weaving an incredible story and interweaving in country elements.  Getting hipsters to listen to music that could be considered country is a feat that needs not much more explanation, simply McCombs has written something quite special with this track.  Stream and download below.
