You can’t put a label on Hodgy Beats and Left Brain.  Just when their recent album BLACKENEDWHITE is starting to get a lot of buzz, they put out this track which sounds like nothing they have done before.  “LESS” makes me believe that there is a strong chance that Hodgy and Left Brain are secret agents.  It has all the jazzy flute and guitar licks of a James Bond song, with rapid fire lyrics and an Odd Future-style chorus and it works perfectly.  This summer MellowHype will be re-releasing BLACKENEDWHITE on Fat Possum records with a few extra bonus tracks.  I don’t know if this is one of those bonus tracks, but either way its a nice offering to tide us over while we wait for the re-release.  Stream and download below…
