Finally we have the most recent project from The Jet Age Of Tomorrow (AKA The Super 3).  This features verses from all of your favorite Odd Future reps; Tyler The Creator, Hodgy Beats, and Mike G and even features a verse from the fantastically vulgar Vince Staples.  Read what Odd Future has to say about the project below, then stream my favorite track, “LunchBox (Feat. Album: Cut Copy – Zonoscope

Looking back at last year, I realize that at the end of 2009 I was a lot more excited for the coming year.  2010 promised and produced big and amazing things in the music world and I was definitely impressed with the amount of great content throughout the year.  Although 2011 isn’t looking as exciting, there are still a few albums that I am incredibly excited for.  While Panda Bear, Smith Westerns and possibly even the Strokes may grace us with great 2011 albums, Cut Copy has me most excited for their upcoming release Zonoscope.  2008′s In Ghost Colours has remained one of my personal favorite albums and I can’t wait to hear what the guys have in store for this upcoming release.  Although the two singles released from the album so far haven’t wowed me, I have no doubt that the record will be at least an interesting and exciting listen.  You can stream the second leak Take Me Over below and check out the track-list after the jump.

Skream – The Freeizm Album

One of the pioneers of dubstep, Skream, just released a new album this Christmas.  Personally, I like my dubstep as distorted, twisted, and dark as possible, so this is great for me.  All of these tracks are really hard-hitting so if you were planning on having a nice, low-key evening don’t listen to this.  It’s always awesome when established, popular artists give away some music for free, and it seems to be happening more and more often lately, especially around the holiday season.  Download via Mediafire below…

Download: Sondre Lerche- Lewis Takes Off His Shirt (Owen Pallett Cover)

Owen Pallett’s amazing Heartland is filled with incredibly dense and lush tracks that use exotic and varied instrumentation.  It goes without saying that covering Pallett’s work is an incredibly daunting task for anyone, especially someone with just a guitar.  I guess Norwegian singer-songwriter Sondre Lerche wasn’t intimidated by the incredible complexity of Lewis Takes Off His Shirt and decided to simplify things by turning the track into a folksy ballad with stripped down instrumentation.  The cover is a fresh take on the original and can be streamed and download below (via PMA)

Stream: Gorillaz – The Fall

There were some problems streaming the album on Gorillaz’ website earlier, but now the album is up for stream.  This was recorded mainly on Damon Albarn’s iPod while on tour promoting Gorillaz’ recent album Plastic Beach.  The album is available for free download if you are a member of their fanclub, but for the rest of us it is only available for stream (unless you know how to use google).  Stream the album below via Hypetrak

3 New Tyler, The Creator Songs

Unfortunately Odd Future did not release a Christmas album but fortunately Tyler, The Creator (who you can see above displaying the same deck that I just got for Christmas) released a bunch of tracks.  First off is an updated version of his track “Session” from his incredible debut album Bastard.  The updated version adds a verse from Odd Future member Mike G, and subtracts a verse from ex-Odd Future member/scheming, delusional bitch Brandun DeShay.  Next is an unfinished track that Tyler recorded when preparing to release Bastard entitled “Dem Hoes”.  The Track is only slightly over a minute long, but sounds like the beginning to another anthem.  The production is grimy, dirty, and slimy with lyrics to match and is one of my favorite tracks from Tyler in a while.  Finally the last track “Let’s Dance” is unmixed but was recorded for Odd Future’s mixtape Radical.  The instrumental is provided by James Pants and the rape-themed lyrics are of course provided by Tyler.  This might be my best Christmas present of the year.  Stream and download all three in that order below…
