I have no idea what any of this is, but I know that it’s awesome.  From this and his song on the Colbert Report, I am now convinced that Toby Keith is the man.

UPDATE: Wyclef says something along the lines of “We came here to support Obama” so I think it might have been at the after party for Obama’s acceptance speech of the Nobel Peace Prize, but who knows.

Here is a picture of a concept album that David Byrne and Fatboy Slim have been producing.  The album is about Phillipino Imelda Marcos and has many guest vocalists.  Santigold, Tori Amos, Cyndi Lauper, Sharon Jones, Steve Earle, Florence Welch , Shara Worden, Róisín Murphy, Nellie McKay, Kate Pierson, and many more.  David only sings on two of the 22 songs on the album.  Although I have not heard anythnig off the album it sounds very exciting.  Track list below.

New song from Sonic.  Though he still can’t get his shit together when it comes to release dates, he can get his music shit together.  This is a nice track, and supposedly his mixtape Normalcy will drop later this week, but I’m not gonna get my hopes up.

James Mercer of The Shins, and genre-spanning producer Danger Mouse have come together to make a collaborative album, and have begun a mysterious ad campaign for it.  First they sent out an email to their fan list in binary that translates to “The high road is hard to find.”, The High Road being the name of their first single.  Next ads began popping up on sites with the silhouettes of the two (pictured above) that linked to sites with URLs that are anagrams of “Broken Bells”, that would play a looped piece of audio from the album.  I’m definitely looking forward to the album.

UPDATE:  It looks as though some rumors are floating around about the first single The High Road may be released tomorrow.  Also, the file of one of the images on one of their websites is called “03092010.jpg” which may be a message that the album will be coming out on March 9th (3/09/2010).
